Who we are

Logystera is a log-based monitoring and alerting service operated by Logystera (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide failure detection for WordPress, Drupal, and HashiCorp Vault environments.

What data we collect

Account data

When you create an account, we collect: name, email address, company name (optional), and password (hashed). This data is stored in our database hosted in EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1).

Log event data

When you connect a WordPress, Drupal, or Vault system, our plugin/module/agent ships structured event metadata to Logystera. This includes:

• Event type (e.g., http.request, auth.attempt, wp.cron)
• Timestamp
• Operational context: HTTP status code, response time, cron hook name, email delivery status, error severity

We do NOT collect:

• Passwords or credentials
• Form submission content
• Page content or user-generated data
• Email content or recipient addresses
• Database contents
• Raw log files
• Personal data of your site’s users

Usage data

We collect basic analytics about how you use the Logystera dashboard: pages visited, features used, session duration. No third-party analytics trackers are used.

How we use your data

• Account data: To provide and manage your account, send service notifications, and respond to support requests.
• Log event data: To derive metrics, evaluate rules, trigger alerts, and display dashboards. This is the core purpose of the service.
• Usage data: To improve the product and understand how features are used.

Data storage and security

• Region: All data is processed and stored in EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1).
• Encryption in transit: TLS 1.2+ for all connections.
• Encryption at rest: AWS EBS encrypted volumes for all storage.
• Authentication: HMAC-SHA256 signatures for all data ingestion. Per-entity API keys.
• Secrets: Stored in AWS Secrets Manager with IAM-based access control.

Data retention

Log event data is retained based on your plan:

• Free: 7 days
• Paid: 14 days (default), extendable to 30, 90, or 365 days via add-on

Account data is retained for the duration of your account. After account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data is only accessed by:

• Logystera staff for service operation and support
• Infrastructure providers (AWS) for hosting purposes only, under their data processing agreements

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data.
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data.
• Portability: Export your data in a structured format.
• Objection: Object to processing of your data.
